    Maxxis ATV
Tires
Whether it
is for sport or work, all terrain vehicles (atv or quad
bikes) are a common site everywhere these days. Farmers use
them for checking stock or just to get about the farm. In
the cities, gardeners use them to spray fertilizer and other
pesticides that threaten the flowers in city parks. Life
guards and police officers use them to patrol beaches in the
summer and there are those that use these vehicles for
cross-country racing. Many of these machines are fitted with
Maxxis atv tires and it would appear that the company has a
monopoly on this particular type of tire. As the vehicles
are all purpose terrain vehicles their tires must be durable
– able to take the pounding of rough terrain on an array of
different surfaces.
The
Maxxis Razr Ballance Radial is one of the latest tires from
the Maxxis atv tires series. This particular tire has been
constructed on the advice and recommendations of 9-time GNCC
champion, Bill Ballance. The tire’s wide radial design gives
it excellent traction and durability. The surprising
lightweight of the tire means that the rider is able to
maintain a constant speed, even over muddy terrain. Tread
patterns have been improved from earlier models and the
difference is chalk and cheese. Prices vary from around
$80.00 through to $120.00. The Maxxis Razr Ballance Radial
is a worthy investment.
Another popular tire from the Maxxis
atv tires collection is the Mud Bug. This tire will pull
your quad bike out of thick wet mud with ease. Its deep
tread (similar to a tractor) has incredible traction that
sheds mud with little effort. The tire has been engineered
for maximum performance as well as a comfortable ride. This
tire is solid with state-of-the-art technology used in its
construction. The thick multi-ply sidewalls resist
puncturing from the sharpness of rocks etc. Naturally, this
tire is not designed for racing, but is a “working” tire and
won’t let you down. Priced from around $70.00 to $90.00
depending on size, the Mud Bug is not an expensive tire at
all.
It is
clear that Maxxis atv tires are, as mentioned above, leaders
in the production of ATV vehicles and the company appears to
be continually improving its tire designs and constructions.
Maxxis listens to the advice of the consumer and makes
improvements based on this advice and feedback. Other tire
manufacturers are beginning to follow Maxxis’ example and
request feedback on their own product’s performance. Indeed
in order for innovative designers and engineers to create
safer and more durable tires, consumer concerns and input
must be taken heed of if these huge tire makers are to
survive in the industry.
